DANCES and Ballet

This section includes original music which responds to the impulse to dance. There are pieces that draw upon Jewish traditions, contemporary rock influences, ragtime and tango.

There is a deep variety of dance-related music - some intended for full ballet companies and other music intended for the intimacy of couples.

Ragtime

Ragtime music is simply my way to pay tribute to one of my favorite composers Scott Joplin - a fellow Missourian whose music has inspired me immensely. The sweet, simple, beautiful melodies juxtaposed with spicy, playful rhythms made his music, in my mind, equal to any master of the past.

Tango

Tango is soulful, provocative, spirited music that draws upon Spanish traditions and is difficult for the melodist to resist.
