Music video featuring Oregon Trails Suite selection

The video shares Mengel's historical references, the role of the fiddle in early American music and recorded selections from The Oregon Trail Suite. Independence mayor Eileen Weir provides a short introduction. Mengel's Oregon Trail Suite is scheduled to be performed in 2021. The idea for the music video, in part, grew out of the 2020 COVID19 cancellation of the major Santa-Cali-Gon Festival on the Independence Square.
